Woman and person

I may claim to be both, but gawrsh time is something I have way too little of.

In the meantime, Erin wrote this fabulous post... Women are and have to be more than moms. Being a mom is incredibly important, a lot of hard work, very time consuming and sometimes rewarding, but (at least for me) it's not the only thing I want to do and being a mom is not all I want to be.

Back to my paper... (it's going to be done someday soon, it really is)

Thank you for saying this. I sometimes feel guilty (even though I know I shouldn't) for wanting more, for wanting to be more. Motherhood, while rewarding, is also hard and tedious.

Thanks for what you said on my post today. It's a little reaffirming that even with a bio link, moms sometimes feel not up to parenting their child. I understand your sentiments exactly.

And I like your new blogroll.

I think being more than a mum makes a good mum, too. After all, isn't part of it being able to gradually step back and let go? How do people do that when there's nothing else in life to focus on?
